Dr. Prerna Bansal
Assistant Professor

Dr. Prerna is an academician and psychologist with a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from
the University of Delhi.
She brings extensive experience in teaching, research, and academic coordination. Prior to
joining SGT University, she
has served at Institutions like Gargi College, University of Delhi, SRM University where she
taught a wide range of
undergraduate psychology courses.
She has been associated with prestigious national-level research projects under NCERT and
the Cluster Innovation Centre,
including the Gifted Education Abhiyaan, aimed at identifying and supporting gifted children
from underprivileged
backgrounds. Her work focused on curriculum development, mentoring, and psychometric tool
standardization.
Dr. Prerna’s teaching and research interests lie in organizational behavior, youth
development, emotional well-being,
and experiential learning. She believes in fostering classroom environments that are
application-oriented,
participative, and reflective of real-world challenges.
Her research has been published in reputed journals and includes studies on:
- Non-verbal assault and workplace harassment
- The psycho-socio-economic impact of COVID-19 in India
- Mental health in professional and family settings
Teaching Interests
- Organizational behavior, youth development, emotional well-being, and non-verbal communication—particularly influenced by Dr. Paul Ekman’s work on emotions and micro-expressions.
Research Interests
- Organizational behavior, workplace mental health, non-verbal communication (inspired by Dr. Paul Ekman), and culturally grounded psychological resilience. Counselling Psychology.
