Dr. Sonu Kumari is a dedicated academician and researcher in the field of Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour, currently serving at the Faculty of Commerce and Management, SGT University, Gurugram. She earned her Ph.D. in Human Resource Management from the prestigious University Business School, Panjab University, Chandigarh, where her research focused on contemporary issues of IT/ITes sector employees’ perceptions of Organizational Virtuousness and its impact of Happiness at Work. Dr. Kumari’s academic journey is backed by a Masters in Business Administration from Guru Jambheshwar University of Sciences & Technology (Hisar) and qualifying UGC NET in Management. With over a decade of experience across industry, academics, and research, Dr. Kumari has held teaching and research positions at both government and private institutions. She previously served at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Rohtak as an Academic Associate, contributing to high-impact academic projects and postgraduate teaching. Dr. Kumari’s research contributions include a range of research papers and book chapters published with internationally reputed publishers, including those under Inderscience and IGI Global, UGC listed journals, Scopus indexed journals and ABDC category journals. She has presented her work at several national and international conferences, including leading academic forums at IIMs, IITs, and BIMTECH Noida. She is an active member of the scholarly community, serving as a reviewer for well-regarded journals and publications under the banner of Emerald Publishing and IGI Global. She also holds an edited book to her credits and sponsored projects under the banner of ICSSR as the primary coordinator. A frequent speaker and facilitator at Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) and academic workshops, Dr. Kumari shares her expertise in areas such as student diversity and engagement, teaching pedagogies, leadership, and workplace well-being. Her core research interests span Positive Organizational Psychology, Happiness at Work, Organizational Virtuousness, Leadership, Gamification, and Employee Engagement, with a commitment to advancing practices that foster meaningful and thriving workplace cultures.
