SGT University Celebrates 11th International Day of Yoga 2025 with the Theme "One Earth, One Health"Gurugram, June 21, 2025
SGT University celebrated the 11th International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2025 with great enthusiasm and fervor at the C Block Cultural Ground from 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM. The event, titled "Yoga Sangam," was jointly organized by the Faculty of Indian Medical System, Faculty of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, Faculty of Dental Sciences, Faculty of Medical Health Sciences, and the Faculty of Education.
The celebration was conducted in association with Haryana Yog Aayog, the Ministry of AYUSH, Higher Education Department Haryana, and supported by the Institutions Innovation Council (IIC).
Themed “One Earth, One Health,” the event emphasized the holistic and universal impact of yoga on individual and planetary well-being. The gathering saw the active participation of faculty members, students, wellness professionals, and yoga enthusiasts from across disciplines, who united to practice the Common Yoga Protocol and reflect on yoga’s role in preventive health and sustainable living.
In his welcome address, Hon. Vice Chancellor of SGT University, highlighted the significance of yoga in enhancing mental, physical, and emotional balance, especially in today’s fast-paced and stressful world. The dignitaries present appreciated the university’s commitment to promoting yoga as a lifestyle practice aligned with India’s rich wellness heritage.
The celebration marked not only a tribute to the global yoga movement initiated by India but also a reaffirmation of SGT University’s commitment to integrate traditional health wisdom with modern education and research.
As the sun rose over the vibrant campus, the collective spirit resonated with the IDY 2025 message—Yoga for One Earth, One Health, promoting global harmony, ecological balance, and inner peace.
