The Faculty of Law, SGT University, organized a highly engaging and insightful expert lecture on “The Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002” on June 4, 2025, via virtual mode under the aegis of IQAC. The session was graced by Mr. Dhawal Shankar Srivastava, Assistant Professor, IILM University, Greater Noida, as the distinguished speaker.

Mr. Srivastava, with academic credentials spanning across India and the UK—including an LL.M in Oil and Gas Law from the University of Aberdeen—brought a nuanced global perspective to the discourse on anti-money laundering laws. The lecture provided an in-depth understanding of the PMLA framework, real-life case studies, and its intersection with financial crime and human rights. A vibrant Q&A session further enriched the learning experience for the attendees.

The Faculty extends heartfelt appreciation to the esteemed speaker, Patron Prof. (Dr.) Richa Chaudhary, Dean, and Coordinator Ms. Chippy G. Krishnan, Assistant Professor, for ensuring the academic success of the event. The lecture marked another significant step in linking theoretical knowledge with practical legal applications.
