In a significant step toward advancing faculty development and inclusive academic practices, SGT University hosted a Faculty Masterclass on 21st July 2025, welcoming distinguished dignitaries as part of its newly launched initiative to foster dialogue with thought leaders from across the country.

The highlight of the event was the keynote address by Shri Najeeb Jung, former Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, 13th VC of Jamia Milia Islamia University and the current Chairman of the Advanced Study Institute of Asia. His lecture, emphasized the critical role of academic institutions in shaping meaningful human engagement and nurturing thoughtful, responsive teaching methodologies.

He also formally announced the opening of the UGC-approved Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), a landmark development in the history of SGT University. This initiative marks a bold leap into the future of flexible, accessible, and inclusive learning for all.

Shri Jung underscored the importance of a compassionate and reflective approach in pedagogy, urging faculty members to view education as a transformative relationship between student and teacher. He emphasized that inclusive pedagogy is not merely a method, but a mindset that empowers students and enriches the broader educational ecosystem.

The event was also graced by Prof. (Dr.) Hemant Verma, Vice-Chancellor, SGT University & Mr. Amogh Rai, Research Director of the Advanced Study Institute of Asia.

The event was attended by the faculty members of the university and witnessed vibrant participation. A heartfelt and interactive Open House session followed the lecture, where Shri Jung engaged directly with faculty members, sharing personal experiences and offering valuable insights into leadership and institutional responsibility.
